The ELL 2 Archive

The Electronic Literature Lab 2 archive, curated by students from the Mars colony in 2150 recounts the multifarious and duplicitous doings of the Heliumangi in 2023, just before the Earth became uninhabitable, We follow the adventures of a misfit alien (or two or more?) who try to sneak into human society to save their race from extinction due to a lack of helium. This thrilling ride goes through highs and lows, government turmoil, love, and betrayal.

This story was developed by students at Washington State University of Vancouver in their DTC 354 Digital Storytelling Class during the Fall Semester of 2023, with Deena Larsen as their instructor. All students collaborated and created separately and together, with a few tasked with tying it all together to make one giant yet cohesive multi-linear story. The focus was to let the students' creativity shine, whether in groups or individually. This makes for a story that is truly unique in its diverse perspectives and innovative storytelling techniques.
